Abstract：The social geography,in our country, which is on the upgrading,is a new and important branch of human geography.
In geography society,there exists a great difference of viewpoints on social geography.The opinions of the object and the content of study of social geography and its status in human geography vary greatly in China, but it can conclude some prospects.There are also some main prospects on the range of study on social geography,its geographical characteristics and the application of socialogical theory in foreign countries.
At present,foreign social geographers think highly of the immient social problems,the injured party of social problems,urban problems and the spatial process and the regional characteristics of social problems.
There are high social economic values on the study of social geography.It's essential that the social geography be constructed in our country.
